Dallas and Fort Worth Firewood Delivery options

Dallas and Fort Worth Firewood Delivery options

If you live in the Dallas, Fort Worth Metroplex, you do not have very many good options when it comes to firewood delivery.

Option 1 - Low quality retail wood - I call it gas station wood because that’s where I used to buy it. Gas stations. Maybe grocery stores. This is bundled firewood wood that sits on pallets outside in the rain. It’s cheap, and that is about the best thing you can say in regards to this firewood. Other than that, it’s hard to light, smokes a lot, and might have some bugs in it.

Option 2  - Buy from a local “firewood” guy from just outside Dallas or Ft. Worth area. Maybe you found him on facebook or craigslist? This is an ok option, definitely better than gas station wood, but still not great. They often offer wood in fractions of cords. Many people do not have room to store cords of firewood. If you live on the M Streets in Dallas, where are you going to store a cord? Or a quarter cord? Additionally most of this wood comes from tree cutting services who are removing rotting and diseased trees. These trees are often in poor health, contain bugs, and produce a lot of smoke. Lastly, do you trust the person delivering this firewood?

Option 3 - Make it yourself. Get a chain saw. Cut the tree. Split it. Season it for a year or two.

New option - Ranch Hand Premium Firewood. We deliver firewood in small quantities or large quantities. We deliver firewood with first class white glove service. We deliver the best firewood in Texas. We deliver firewood anywhere in the Dallas or Fort Worth metroplex.
